Synopsis | 100 Bowls Tips is the first and only book of its kind. Specially commissioned by the publishers, it was created during the World Bowls 1980 Championships held at Frankston, near Melbourne, in February.
Thirty-seven great players, including David Bryant, cooperated in the production of the book. Each of them gave full details of his own grip, stance, and delivery, explained them for the benefit of other players, and posed for action photographs showing you exactly how to follow these winning techniques. Nearly 300 photographs illustrate 100 vital tips for bowlers. Together they demonstrate that you can develop your own style and that there is certainly more than one way to play the noble game of bowls! Established bowlers will be intrigued by the many different styles and theories propounded by these champions, and may well learn a thing or two. Beginners are sure to benefit, and they will be encouraged to ignore well-meaning advice that there is only one way to play each shot. 100 Bowls Tips is a book compiled, written, and edited by bowlers for bowlers. |
