| Synopsis | These details relate to the reprint of the first edition of this booklet - necessitated by the adverse comments received about the small size of type used in the first print run. The format and content remain unchanged, but the increased type size of the reprint has resulted in a page total of 44 - fourteen more than the original. The laws in this booklet have now replaced those in the Laws of the Sport of Bowls - Third Edition (blue book) and full details of the changes are provided here*. Many of the amendments are minor, reflecting the changes from World Bowls Ltd to the World Indoor Bowls Council (WIBC), the inclusion of ‘Member National Bowling Authorities’ and changes to ‘law reference numbers'. The penultimate page of the booklet shows variations that have been requested by and granted to member nations of the WIBC; only England have requested and been granted such variations.
The new booklet is available from the English Indoor Bowling Association; the laws are not available online. *This document is in portable document file (PDF) format and requires installation of the free Adobe Reader program. Also by the English Indoor Bowling Association: |
